Best of PLAYTIME 2010 (an amazing 2 hour show!)

WHEN: 7.30pm-9.30pm Wednesday 17th November 2010,
WHERE: World Bar Club Room, 24 Bayswater Road, Kings Cross (opposite Hugo’s)
After playing to a packed house at The Imagine Festival at Cleveland Street Theatre in September, The Best of PLAYTIME now comes home to the WORLD BAR Club Room where PLAYTIME began back in March this year.

Arrive early for best seats!

A deranged fan plots to add the final jewel to his sparkling DD collection.

PUSH YOURSELF by Kate Toon, directed by Amelia Tranter,
Cast: Laura Holmes, Alex Nicholas.
Besotted personal Trainer Daniel pushes his chubby client Sarah to her limit.

COME TOGETHER FALL APART by Melissa Lee, director David Farland,
Cast: Sontaan Hopkins, Rory Pie.
Push/pull, love/hate, break up/make-up, forever/just for now; come together/fall apart…a spark can ignite an inferno…

MELODY by Dona Parise, director Liane Norman,
Cast: Kate Buchanan.
Melody is not just a woman, she was everything to everyone and now in her time of need, who will be there for her?

ELEVATOR by Stephen Carnell, directed by Ron Hadley,
Cast: Laura Holmes, Stella De Zotti, Jane smith, Wayne Underwood, Kim Dickson.
When five people are trapped in an elevator, the only thing going up is their tension.

SIX MINUTES AND COUNTING by Jackie Greenland, director Alan Walpole,
Cast: Leof Kingsford Smith, Christine Greenough, Matt Thomson, Valentino Arico.
The cleaner holds the swipe card that can save the world. Will she use it before the 6 minutes is up?

The BEST of PLAYTIME comprises 8 short plays selected from the 60+ plays that have been staged in PLAYTIME at World Bar during 2010. The plays will be fully rehearsed and off the page.
The show will be delivered by 2 producers, 8 writers, 7 directors, 15 actors, 1 tech operator and 1 stage manager. Whew!
